Travel to the Green List is simple. Here’s what you need to know….

What is a Green List and what does it mean?

Every few weeks, the government updates their ‘Travel Traffic Light’ system with countries on either Green, Amber or Red.

The Green List means that holidaymakers can visit destinations on this list and not have to quarantine for 10 days on their return to the UK.

You will still be required to take a pre-departure test before returning to the UK, as well as a PCR test on day 2 of your return.

What do I need to do before travelling to a Green List country?

First of all, you need to check the requirements for the specific country to see what is needed for entry. Usually, it is proof of both vaccinations and/or a negative test. These tests are usually required to be a PCR test.

You can book your pre-departure test through your consultant. To read more about the tests, click here.

It’s always recommended to check the Gov FCO website for the latest requirements. You can visit it here.

You also need to ensure you have valid travel insurance as always - it is advised to also get one with COVID cover.  We are proud to offer travel insurance which also includes COVID cover.

You can find out more about our travel insurance below.

Most airlines are now offering online check-in before you arrive to the airport making the process smoother and contactless. You can speak with your Personal Travel Consultant to find out if you are able to use online check-in. Simply scan your boarding pass on an app or email, and drop your bags off at the gate!

When packing, ensure you have enough face masks to wear for the duration of your trip. As well as mandatory face masks in airports, each country will have their own requirements for while in hotel/resort/country, therefore it’s good to ensure you have plenty of face coverings.

Returning to the UK

You will need to arrange to take a PCR test while in the resort before you travel home. You are also required to complete a Passenger Locator Form. You can find the form here.

You will also need to take a test on or before Day 2 of your return to the UK.
